Check out this newly renovated exterior with an amazing back porch in the Mockingbird Valley/Indian Hills area. Very few things add value to a house than a private backyard patio that is both cozy and functional. After this home received an extended addition with a loft like kitchen and dining room, the private patio was next on the list. This renovation included finishing new stucco, restoring windows, and painting both a garden closet and exterior overhang decking. After being quite satisfied with our work & pricing, this client has invited us back to paint various interior projects.
No job too small: Window Restoration in the Highlands
With Redemption Painting, no job is too small. We provide service for a wide range of clients — from home owners to general contractors — and we accomplish projects across the spectrum: anything from large scale commercial renovations to one day projects. This restoration project saved our client hundreds of dollars.
Instead of replacing these historic french windows in the Highlands, we were able to make ample repairs on both the wood structure and surfaces to these renew the beauty of these timeless windows.
Immanuel Church Sanctuary Renovation
This blog post highlights a previous project featuring Immanuel Baptist Church‘s sanctuary renovation in the Smoketown/Shelby Park area.
To complete this project we partnered with my personal friend, Danny Hirby, of Serious Business Painting. Together we worked as a team to complete this massive job in a timely manner.
I could not be happier with this renovation. With both the lighting and painting combined, the atmosphere was transformed from dated and dim to warm and beautiful! It’s now — more than ever — a great meeting space for this growing church.
I would like to give a special thanks to Tracey Burbrink, PPG Porter Paints’ very own interior design & color consultant, who aided Immanuel in deciding on their new color, Porters’ Spiced Vinegar (Not the name I would have picked!).

Sojourn Community Church: New Albany Campus Renovation
- Converting an old cafeteria into a fellowship/meeting space
- Turning classrooms into nurseries for children
To meet Sojourn’s needs in this job, we painted their new colors on the walls, trim, and doors to create a warm environment for this new church gathering space.

A Short Word About Sojourn
I really respect what they are doing in their various communities. Just the other day they hosted a free medical clinic for the public, where anyone could: see a doctor for medical needs, receive needed food and household items, and meet new friends to walk alongside them in their ongoing needs. How cool is that! You can read more about it here.
Renovation in Old Louisville
We love restoration and renovation projects. It was a particular pleasure working on this restoration project in the heart of Old Louisville off the historical 3rd Street.
Original Stained Glass Windows
The stained glass windows were likely the originals, some 100 years old. Although they were in dire need of work, they still retained impressive structural quality. After the phases of work were completed, these windows are back to their original look and provide yet again the beautiful charm associated with the victorian style homes of Old Louisville (see pictures of the project below).
Restoration Partners
We would like to thank our friends at Louisville Slate and Copper who referred this project to us. These guys also specialize in restoration projects, yet handle the repairs related to roofs, gutters, and various other exterior fixtures. It was great to partner with them to deliver a product our client is satisfied with.
